provided by supervised counseling interns and professional counselor associates.

Who can come for counseling?

Just about anyone! Life is hard for everyone from time to time and we can all benefit from kind support at those times.
The Community Counseling Center of Ashland provides services for adult individuals, couples, teens, children, and families. We support people from all walks of life and life styles, all ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, and spiritualities.

Who are the counselors?

Counseling interns and associates provide low-cost counseling to the community while receiving supervision and training by state-approved clinicians associated with our center.
We have two kinds of counselors:
  • Graduate student interns, who are in an accredited master’s program in Counseling, and charge $15-25 per hour.
  • Professional counselor associates, who have completed their graduate degrees and are working towards being fully licensed. They charge $35-$85 per hour.
For more info, visit the Therapists page.

Cost:

  • We offer a sliding scale of $15-$85 per hour. We ask that people pay what they can afford.
  • We are not able to accept insurance of any kind (including OHP).

How to Request an Appointment:

  1. Call us at 541.708.5436. Or Text us at 541.890.0484
  2. We do not have a receptionist, and you must leave a message.
  3. Leave your name, number, a good time to reach you, and whether it is OK to leave messages for you at that number.
  4. We will get back to you, usually by the next business day.
  5. We will ask about your situation, and make sure that we are able to provide the services you need.
  6. If we have an appropriate counselor for you, you will be matched with a counselor, who will call you to schedule an appointment. The time between your first call and your first meeting with your therapist can be as short as a few days if the phone contact and scheduling goes easily.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not a crisis-oriented facility; nor do we focus on addictions. Those in crisis or for whom an addiction is the primary problem will be better served through specialized services. See our Resources page for more information.
